NURTUREart REGISTRY of ARTISTS and CURATORS

We’re excited to announce the launch of the NURTUREart Regsitry of Artists and Curators online. Begun as a traditional artists’ slide registry this program has been at the core of NURTUREart’s mission since its’ founding in 1998. The registry directly feeds our gallery program, a minimum of 50% of all artists shown in NURTUREart Gallery exhibits are selected from the registry. We are now proud to make it accessible to a much wider community of artists and curators, and reach a worldwide audience of art viewers.

Emerging artists and emerging and independent curators are invited to participate (there are no fees to join) by uploading images, statements, essays and resumes into profiles that they will have complete control over. Yes, registries aren’t just for artists anymore, curators can now document their own careers as well as search for new art and plan future projects! All creative members can display substantial amounts of work and organize thematic galleries, having the ability to present their work in-depth and keep everything updated up to the minute.

Curators and Viewers can also make galleries where they can save copies of artworks in the registry that catch their eye, these selections can be private workspaces to bookmark pieces of interest or shared virtual exhibits for public viewing.

We have also included two other important features to encourage networking in our online community. Both artists and curators can promote their upcoming exhibitions and events on their pages, these listings will also appear on the main calendar on the NURTUREart Registry homepage. Everyone is also encouraged to take advantage of our recommendation feature and promote one another. Artists, curators and viewers can create a list of links to their favorite registry artists by browsing the registry and clicking on the “Save this Artist to My Favorites” button. The more everyone uses this tool the easier it will be for viewers to discover interesting new artists!

Viewing the Registry:

The registry is now avaiable online and can also be viewed at the gallery.
